About Laureen Claire Vivian & Associates

Laureen Vivian, A Short Biography

With over fifteen years architectural and interior design experience, Laureen Vivian has developed a reputation for a great attention to detail while steadfastly meeting her clients’ fanciful as well as practical needs.

Her first eight years were spent working at the highest level of architectural excellence and innovation at the firm of I. M. Pei / Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Persuaded by her underlying love and appreciation of the sumptuousness and variety of eras gone by in history, Ms. Vivian then branched out on her own to incorporate historic renovations and additions, into her continued work of contemporary new construction and design.

Laureens’ balance of both form and function, coupled with her earnest attention to scale, proportion and architectural detail is evidenced in projects that are truly elegant. Her projects range from galleries to ballrooms, offices to restaurants, and residences to furniture and jewelry design. Over the last six years, here ever-growing love and dedicated interest in art and antiques, has resulted in an exquisite collection on view in her Madison Avenue Gallery.

Épnos is Laureens’ latest venture. From the Greek for sleep, Épnos is a line of luxurious custom pet beds. The line was inspired by a need to provide Sissi, her precious Maltese, with a beautiful bed that would suit a period interior. Laureen Vivian holds several degrees from the University of Southern California including the Bachelor’s of Architecture, Barch. She was featured, along with Denise Scott Brown, in the film ‘Women in Architecture.’ For more information, contact Laureen Vivian & Associates below or Email: Lvivian@earthlink.net.
